 (SOLO)\, examines the themes and music of Gaetano Donizetti&rsquo\;s opera
 &nbsp\;<em>Lucia di Lammermoor</em>.</p>\n<p>Based on Sir Walter Scott&rsq
 uo\;s novel\,<em> The Bride of Lammermoor</em>\, the opera tells the tragi
 c tale of Lucia Ashton\, caught in a family feud in 17th-century Scotland.
  Sabatino Vacca explores the opera&rsquo\;s enduring popularity and discus
 ses the heightened emotions of the story\, the psychological depth of its 
 characters\, and the dramatic arias in its composition.</p>\n<p>Presented
