The movements for women's rights have evol ved since the early days of the suffragettes. \; Each successive gener ation has brought attention to different facets of feminism- for example\, focusing on domestic violence prevention\, equal pay\, equality in educat ion\, etc. \; At this Talking Circle\, we'll discuss what feminism mea ns to each of us and work toward of better understanding of all participan ts. \nThe \;Steinem Sis ters Collection \;champions women&rsquo\;s historical\, cultural\, and political contributions and strives to provide a welcoming space for wome n from all walks of life to share their truths. It is composed of &ldquo\; feminist materials\,&rdquo\; intersectional works that uphold human and wo men&rsquo\;s rights and interests in defining and promoting political\, ec onomic\, personal\, and social equality of the sexes\, races\, classes\, s exual orientations\, and genders. The Steinem Sisters Collection has grown to over 900 titles in the ten years since its inception. Regular programm ing\, including book discussion groups and talking circles\, aims to highl ight the collection and build community.
