  2017\, a total eclipse of the Sun will be visible in the continental Unit
 ed States for the first time in almost 40 years.</p>\n<p>The Space Science
  Institute (SSI) was awarded a grant from the Moore Foundation that will p
 rovide 1.26 million solar viewing glasses and other resources for 1\,500 p
 ublic libraries across the nation. These libraries will serve as centers f
