DecipherInk is a mobile app that aims to t each users just what they need to know to be able to read genealogical rec ords in a foreign language. Courses teach enough grammar to correctly inte rpret records\, enough vocabulary \;to read common record types\, and everything you need to know about the alphabets and scripts you will encou nter. DecipherInk gives immediate feedback so you know what you are doing right and wrong and provides practices that will help cement concepts and vocabulary \;for easy recall. In this webinar we will demonstrate the German course to showcase what the application looks like and how it works \, where we hope to take it in the future\, and how genealogical translati on skills fit in in a world of AI powered handwriting recognition. \;< /p>\n
