 the <strong>Year of the Snake</strong>\, begins January 29\, 2025 and is c
 elebrated for 14 days\, ending with the lantern festival on February 12th.
 &nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>During this celebration you will learn more about t
 he twelve animals of the Chinese New Year from our local musical maestro a
 nd public school teacher\, Mrs. Ellen Ng.&nbsp\; Delight your ears with a 
 collection of traditional music while you learn some classic paper folding
 \, called origami\, with the direction and help of several Roxbury High Sc
 hool students.</p>\n<p><span style="color: #ff0000\;">This celebration is 
 geared to teens 15+\, adults\, and seniors.&nbsp\; Please wear RED (or GOL
 D or another BRIGHT color)!</span></p>\n<p>Hosted by Common Grounds NJ and
  Roxbury Public Library</p>\n<p><strong>Common Grounds</strong> is a local
  501(c)3 and ongoing series that explores and facilitates civil conversati
 on on race\, political beliefs\, gender\, creed and more\, celebrating div
 ersity in Roxbury.&nbsp\; Presentations in partnership with Roxbury Public
  Library since September 2020 have included a virtual workshop Skills for 
 Bridging the Political Divide through Braver Angels\, community panels on 
 women and leadership\, and a local panel On Race and Racism: A Roxbury Con
 versation\, and Black History: From Civil War to Black Lives Matter\, Ally
 ship and Inclusion\, a discussion on the film &ldquo\;Brian Banks&rdquo\; 
 and Black People&rsquo\;s Incarceration\, Unlearning False Racial Myths\, 
 a LGBTQ+ Living/Personal History Panel\, an LGBTQ+ panel on pronouns\, acr
 onyms and gender identity\, and substantial celebrations in honor of Junet
