T he \;World Championship of Public Spea king®\; \;starts in Toastmasters clubs throughout the world. Fr om there\, participants advance to Area\, Division\, District\, and region -level competitions. Two winners from each region-level competition move o n to the semifinals. At the semifinals\, an expert panel of experienced To astmasters will determine the eight finalists. Each speech will last betwe en five to seven \;minutes.

For many amateur speakers\, this c ompetition is the opportunity of a lifetime. Past winners have used this a ccolade to become prominent\, paid speakers\, delivering keynotes and spee ches around the \;globe.
