Join us to take a journey inside Abraham L incoln's mind &ldquo\;The Night Before Gettysburg.&rdquo\; This reenactmen t focuses on Abraham Lincoln as he finishes writing the Gettysburg Address in his bedroom the night before the speech. Lincoln confronts powerful st ruggles with racism\, slavery\, war carnage\, and the deaths of two of his children.

"The Night Before Gettysburg" is written and performed by Chuck Johnson from Perham\, MN. He wrote it in 2021 to compete in a 1-a ct play contest in Wadena. The play won the competition\, and Destination Gettysburg in tracked him down a few days later to inquire about performin g in Gettysburg\, Pennsylvania. Johnson has performed in Gettsyburg in 202 2\, 2023\, and 2024. \;
