 tal electronic music composer based in Salt Lake City. His music ranges fr
 om ethereal soundscapes to harsh\, percussive textures. He uses Max MSP to
  build algorithmic music systems that are unpredictable and continuously e
 volving.<br /><br /></p>\n<hr />\n<p><br /><strong>Trent Harris</strong> h
 as made eight feature films\, including <em>Rubin and Ed</em>\, <em>Beaver
  Trilogy</em> and <em>Plan 10 From Outer Space</em>\, and produced dozens 
 of shorts and scores of nationally broadcast documentaries for National Ge
 ographic\, NBC\, and PBS in New York. He has received major screenings at 
 Sundance\, The Lincoln Center in New York\, The British Film Institute\, t
 he Museum of Modern Art in Vienna and the San Francisco Museum of Modern A
 rt.</p>\n<p><em>Elmo</em> is a film about Elmo\, hence the title. I think 
 it is never a good idea to describe my movies. It is better just to watch 
 them and then try to figure out what you just saw. <br /><br /></p>\n<hr /
 >\n<p><br /><em>SIMULATE</em> is a music and movement study inspired by th
 e TRON universe. Featuring a new composition by <strong>Kai Bowen</strong>
 \, performed by <strong>Lydia Mitchell</strong> (cello)\, <strong>Kristen 
 Olson</strong> (violin)\, and <strong>Lauren Peck</strong> (violin)\, with
  choreography by <strong>Ashley Jian Thomson</strong> and dancers <strong>
 Lucien Blanchard</strong>\, <strong>Lauren Cheree</strong>\, and <strong>S
 helby Strickler</strong>. Post-presentation feedback is appreciated for th
 is work-in-progress.<br /><br /></p>\n<hr />\n<p><br /><strong>12 Minutes 
 Max</strong> is dedicated to the memory of our dear friend and colleague P
 aul Reynolds: artist\, librarian\, and patron of the arts. The 12 Minutes 
 Max program is a curated monthly performance series featuring experimental
  short works by local artists in many different disciplines\, including da
 nce\, music\, film\, and more. Each piece is followed by a Q&amp\;A with t
 he artist. 12MM is modeled after the program originated by On the Boards i
