Mah-jongg is a \;tile-based game devel oped in the 19th century in China which has spread worldwide since the ear ly 20th century. Four players commonly play it with 144 tiles based on Chi nese characters and symbols. The game and its regional variants are widely played throughout \;East \;and Southeast Asia and have become pop ular in \;Western countries. We will be learning and playing the Hong Kong version of Mah-Jongg.
\nIn the first hour\, we will become fami liar with the tiles\, rules\, and how to set up the game. In the second ho ur\, we usually get through 2-3 hands\, allowing participants to practice what we have been taught. \;
