Books in this collection are written by Black authors and illuminate the story of African Americans by emphasizing their history\, legacy\, and cultural contributions. The collection was made po ssible by a donation from the Goette Family to honor Ms. Jeannette\, an av id reader who was instrumental in getting Black residents in Donaldsonvill e to vote.
