 participate in the discussion\, and present and submit a short Reflection 
 piece.&nbsp\;</strong>Participants will use the book to foster discussion\
 , develop book evaluation skills\, and comfort speaking with non-family me
 mber adults.</p>\n<p><strong><em>The Labors of Hercules Beal</em></strong>
 &nbsp\;by Gary Schmidt is a&nbsp\;warm and funny story of family\, communi
 ty and self-discovery.&nbsp\;Herc Beal may be named for a mythical hero bu
 t he is anything but one. Then he gets set the challenge by a teacher to r
 ecreate each of the original Hercules' 12 tasks.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Copies of

 e obtained at any MCPL branch. An E-book version is available through&nbsp
