 tudents from Howard University sat on a carousel at the Glen Echo Amusemen
 t Park and were arrested.&nbsp\; Protests ensued in the community.&nbsp\; 
 Picketers included members of the Freedom Riders and was the first organiz
 ed interracial civil rights protest in the United States. This activism ev
 entually led to the desegregation of the Glen Echo Amusement Park.&nbsp\; 
 The results of this activism is documented in this poignant film.</p>\n<p>
 <strong>Special Guest\, Edit Bryant</strong>\, a 12-year old activist at t
 he time of the protests\, will be available for questions and discussion a
 fter the film.</p>\n<p>Come and witness this historical treasure of a prom
 inent local cultural institution in honor of Black History Month.</p>\n<p>
