 \, Portland\, OR 97205.</p>\n<p>Kyle Lukoff is the author of many books fo
 r young readers. His debut middle-grade novel\, Too Bright To See\, receiv
 ed a Newbery honor\, the Stonewall award\, and was a National Book Award f
 inalist. His picture book When Aidan Became A Brother also won the Stonewa
 ll\, and his book Call Me Max has been banned in schools across the countr
 y. He has forthcoming books about queer history\, unicycles\, breakups\, a
 nd lots of other topics. While becoming a writer he worked as a bookseller
  for ten years\, and then nine more years as a school librarian.</p>\n<p>E
 ach year the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) sponsors a
  Children&rsquo\;s Literature Lecture geared toward adults who have an int
 erest in children&rsquo\;s books. The lecture features an author\, critic\
 , librarian\, historian or educator presenting a paper considered to be a 
 significant contribution to the field of children&rsquo\;s literature. Thi
 s year the lecture is hosted by Multnomah County Library.</p>\n<p>A limite
