\nAbou t our Speaker:
\nGenelle Levy is a journalist who has contr ibuted to over 20+ publications including national newspapers and magazine s such as The Guardian\, NBC News\, Conde Nast and CBC News. She covers so cial inequality and in 2020 her piece\, "Ontarians Should Know More About The Black History of Oakville" went viral. Her experience growing up in Bu rlington and Oakville allowed her to inform and interrogate her identity. Alongside her journalistic work\, Genelle also teaches news and feature wr iting at Toronto Metropolitan University and Humber Polytechnic.
