The Miami-Dade Public Library is pleased t o present Chain Reaction\, a 100-piece art exhibit created by the Internat ional Online Art Collective (IOAC). This unique installation showcases the creative synergy of 14 artists who inspired one another through a dynamic process of artistic exchange. Beginning with a single piece\, each work i nformed the next\, sparking a chain reaction that unfolded over two years to produce 100 interconnected pieces assembled into a powerful multimedia installation.
\nThe collaboration emerged during the global pandemic as a way for artists to connect across distances. Each participant create d a 10" x 10" piece in one week\, drawing inspiration from the preceding a rtwork before passing it on to the next artist. This process became a test ament to creativity\, resilience\, and the ability of art to transcend iso lation\, fostering connection even in times of adversity.
\nThe exhi bition reflects the healing and empowering nature of creativity\, highligh ting how art can unite diverse voices in a shared narrative of innovation and perseverance. The IOAC\, formed in 2020\, represents a global collecti ve of artists dedicated to the belief that art inspires\, provokes\, and h eals. From its inception during the early days of COVID-19\, the collectiv e has expanded its vision to include both virtual and in-person exhibition s.
