 Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesler in 1914 to Austrian-Jewish parents\, by age 18 sh
 e had become a European movie star. Discovered by Louis B. Mayer\, Lamarr 
 was typecast as a glamorous seductress\, who became famous for her dramati
 c performances\, both on and off screen. Smart\, witty\, mercurial\, and u
 nderestimated\, Ms. Lamarr in addition to her acting\, co-invented WW II t
 echnology (for Allied torpedoes) that led to today&rsquo\;s WiFi\, GPS\, a
 nd Bluetooth. Learn more about this controversial\, misunderstood\, and mu

 taught English for over 20 years to elementary\, secondary\, and college&n
 bsp\;students in the U.S. and Scotland\, as well as lifelong learning cour
 ses to adults at&nbsp\;FGCU (Florida Gulf Coast University) and for colleg
 es\, libraries\, and community groups&nbsp\;throughout NJ. He has been an 
 Editor at Silver Burdett Publishing and a&nbsp\;Trainer/Technical Writer a
 t AT&amp\;T. Mr. Rose has an M.Ed. in English and an MS in&nbsp\;Project M
 anagement. His poetry and fiction have appeared in Alaska Quarterly\, Lips
 \,&nbsp\;Little Patuxent Review\, and Perspectives. A writer\, editor\, an
 d educator\, Dan Rose&nbsp\;teaches and writes about various subjects. He
