A brief history of Felt:

Felt from wool i s one of the oldest known textiles. Felt's origins can be traced back to C entral Asia\, with evidence of felt making found in Siberia and Northern M ongolia dating back to 7th to 2nd century BCE. Artifacts created from felt during this period include clothing\, jewelry\, wall hangings\, and elabo rate horse blankets. Felt making is still practiced by nomadic peoples in Central Asia\, where rugs\, tents\, and clothing are regularly made. In th e Western world\, felt is widely used as a medium for expression in both t extile art and contemporary art.
