The \;Albion Bolton Historical Society (ABHS) will have a display highl ighting our local history on the second floor of the Albion Bolton Branch\ , near the Local History section\, during Ontario Heritage Week. ABHS will be answering questions on history\, display items\, photographs and ephem era.

\nEach February\, the Ontario Heritage Trust in vites Ontarians to participate in Heritage Week in Ontario &ndash\; to cel ebrate heritage in all its forms (cultural and natural\, architectural\, a rchaeological and collections)\, its diverse traditions and cultural expre ssions. Heritage Week provides a wonderful opportunity for individuals and communities to reflect on their contributions to Ontario\, how heritage i s conserved\, promoted and commemorated\, and how they might shape the fut ure.
\nSince 1974\, the third Monday every February has been identif ied as Heritage Day in Canada.
\nIn 1985\, the Ontario government de signated the third week in February as Ontario Heritage Week\, with the fe deral Heritage Day kicking off the week.
\nMany heritage organizatio ns and municipalities have used Heritage Day and Ontario Heritage Week as vehicles to stimulate awareness of heritage resources and heritage-related issues within their communities\, and to honour the organizations and vol unteers who have worked to protect Ontario&rsquo\;s irreplaceable heritage resources.
