\nHis many honors include receiving both a Guggenheim Fello wship in Poetry and an American Academy of Arts &\; Letters Award for l iterature in 2015. He has also been awarded several \;prestigious writ ing residencies and has received recognition or support from such sources as the National Endowment for the Arts\, the Ingram Merrill Foundation\, t he Howard Foundation\, and the state arts agencies of Connecticut\, Delawa re\, and Kentucky. \;

SARAH GORHAM is a poet and essayi
st\, most recently the essay collection Funeral Playlist which was release
d by Etruscan Press in August 2024. She is the author of Alpine Apprentice
(2017)\, which made the short list for 2018 PEN/Diamonstein Award in the
Essay\, and Study in Perfect (2014)\, selected by Bernard Cooper for the 2
013 AWP Award in Creative Nonfiction. Both were published by University of
Georgia Press. Gorham is also the author of four collections of poetry&md
ash\; Bad Daughter (2011)\, The Cure (2003)\, The Tension Zone (1996)\, an
d Don&rsquo\;t Go Back to Sleep (1989). Other honors include grants and fe
llowships from the National Endowment for the Arts\, three state arts coun
cils\, and the Kentucky Foundation for Women. \;
She is
retired co-founder and editor-in-chief at Sarabande Books\, an independen
t\, nonprofit\, literary publisher. The press was selected as the inaugura
l winner of the AWP Small Press Publisher Award in 2013\, And recently\, C
LMP chose Sarabande as 2022 winner of the Golden Colophon Award for Paradi
gm Independent Publishing. \;
