 of-charge and will offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about the
  plans and process to expand the trail into Clay County\, with Patrick Hol
 lister\, Active Living Planner with Clay County Health\, and Dan Farnswort
 h\, Transportation Planner with the Fargo-Moorhead Metro Council of Govern
 ments (Metro COG).</p>\n<hr />\n<p><strong>About the Project:</strong><br 
 />The Heartland State Trail is currently a 49-mile paved path running from
  Cass Lake\, MN\, to Park Rapids\, MN. In 2006 the Minnesota Legislature a
 uthorized extension of the trail from Park Rapids to Moorhead. Hollister a
 nd Farnsworth will discuss the planning efforts so far in implementing the
  trail within Clay County\, including proposed alignment\, public feedback
 \, challenges\, opportunities\, and the future of the project.&nbsp\;</p>\

 \n<p><strong>About the Presenters:</strong></p>\n<p><br /><em><strong>Patr
 ick Hollister</strong></em> is the Active Living Planner with PartnerSHIP 
 4 Health and is committed to helping to make communities more conducive to
  active transportation (biking and walking) through improved community des
 ign and encouragement. Patrick works with FM Metro COG\, city and county g
 overnments\, and MnDOT to leverage opportunities for Complete Streets proj
 ects and bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure. Patrick is active in efforts t
 o complete the Heartland Trail through both Clay County and Becker County.
  Patrick has a Master of Planning degree from the Humphrey Institute at th
 e University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Mathematics from Macalester Colleg
 e.</p>\n<p><em><strong>Dan Farnsworth</strong></em> has been with Metro CO
 G since 2012 and works on a range of transportation planning efforts inclu
 ding bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure and coordination\, traffic data col
 lection and analysis\, corridor studies\, and more. Dan has been working o
 n Heartland Trail planning in Clay County since 2014. He graduated from ND
 SU in 2008 with a degree in Civil Engineering.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><img src="
