Nonagenarian Dick Courteau from Madison Co unty has recently released his second publication. Named Profoundly Countr y: Memories and Meditations of an Old Farmer/Cowboy\, this work weaves tog ether tales of adventure from his days as a cowboy with insights into life in the countryside and the people who call it home\, many of which are dr awn from his over 50 years of rural existence in Madison County. Many of t he essays in this book were initially featured in Rural Heritage magazine. Mr. Courteau has been a consistent contributor to Rural Heritage since 20 20 and has also had articles published in Orion (a magazine focused on the environment) and various magazines about horses.
