  your library and enhance services to teens in your community? The NY Stat
 e Library is coordinating a workshop opportunity for libraries to learn mo
 re about teen development and learning\, as well as network with other lib
 rary staff to share ideas and strategies for involving more diverse groups
  of teens in library programs.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>This interactive workshop 
 will introduce library staff to the core concepts of Connected Learning as
  part of the Transforming Teen Services framework. Individuals\, small gro
 ups\, and the entire group will explore the&nbsp\; principles of Connected
  Learning and how to connect theory to practice. Connected learning explor
 es the library's role at the intersection of teens' interests\, relationsh
 ips\, and opportunities&nbsp\;for the future. This is a participatory work
 shop\, so attendees will be expected to participate in and contribute to d
 iscussions and readily engage in workshop activities.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Reg
 istration will be capped at 50 attendees. Light lunch and refreshments wil
 l be provided\, but travel costs will be at the expense of attendees or th
 eir library. Mid York has ample free parking. CE certificates will be prov
 ided to workshop participants via email after the conclusion of the worksh
