Artists' Statement

\n< p>We are an artists&rsquo\; cooperative gallery\, located on the ground fl oor of the Main Library. Our mission is to promote public interest in high quality\, original artwork while providing Utah artists\, who do not alre ady have an established exhibition venue\, with an audience and an opportu nity to sell their work. The co-op also supports and provides art educatio nal programs for the public.

Art at the Main exhibits original artwork in these media: mixed media\, w atercolor\, oil\, acrylic\, pastel\, pen &\; ink\, pencil\, charcoal\, encaustic\, etchings\, monotypes\, lithography\, hangable fiber art\, and small 3-D sculpture\, glasswork\, pottery\, metal and wood.

We cur rently have 17 artists participating and showing their work at our gallery . We have participated\, as a group\, in art exhibits at several venues in Salt Lake City over the past 17 years.
