 n<p>In this eight-week course\, students aged 55 and older will learn the 
 fundamentals of working with paint. Through working from observation\, tec
 hnical demonstrations\, focused painting projects and hands-on instruction
 \, you'll become familiar with the materials and techniques of painting an
 d develop skills that will enable you to progress to the creation of more 
 advanced work and pursue a creative vision.</p>\n<p>Paints and supplies pr
 ovided. An exhibit of student work is planned for Saturday\, May 17\, 1-3 
 p.m. at the Columbia Public Library.</p>\n<p>This program is supported by 
 the Institute of Museum and Library Services through a grant from the Miss
 ouri State Library. Studio space is generously provided by Orr Street Stud
