 s free!</p>\n<p>Get ready with your favorite cosplay outfit\, grab your fa
 vorite set of dice\, and start your next adventure downtown at the Main Li
 brary! You're invited to an all-new event inspired by library comic cons o
 f the past\, but with a little twist. It's a celebration of all the books\
 , comics\, video games\, TV shows\, and movies you love with cosplay conte
 sts\, one-shot D&amp\;D sessions\, video game tournaments and so much more

 "https://jaxpubliclibrary.org/policies">Library policy</a>\, specifically 
 the <a href="https://jaxpubliclibrary.org/policy/331-code-of-conduct">Code
  of Conduct</a>.</p>\n<p><strong>Some specific instructions while attendin
 g the event:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Follow all policies\, venue rules\, a
 nd staff directions.</li>\n<li>No running\, jumping\, throwing\, or other 
 unsafe actions.</li>\n<li>Support each other in maintaining a safe environ
 ment.</li>\n<li>Report concerns to Library staff or Security right away.</
 li>\n<li>Don&rsquo\;t harass other attendees\, staff\, or vendors.</li>\n<
 li>Respect everyone's physical and social boundaries and their personal pr
 operty.</li>\n<li>Everyone should observe common sense rules for behavior\
 , personal interaction\, courtesy\, and respect. Harassing or offensive be
 havior will not be tolerated.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>The following are pr
 ohibited from the Library:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drones\, helium balloon
 s\, and other airborne objects or devices.</li>\n<li>Skateboards\, roller 
 skates\, non-mobility scooters.</li>\n<li>Pets\, with the sole exception o
 f service animals. Emotional support animals are not permitted.</li>\n<li>
 Smoking and vaping are prohibited\, as well as alcohol and any illicit sub
 stances.</li>\n<li>There are no flyers\, posters\, or show billing of any 
 kind to be placed or left in or around any of the Library grounds.</li>\n<
 /ul>\n<p><strong>Security</strong></p>\n<p>The Library security team provi
 des security and may include off-duty law enforcement personnel\, security
  guards and staff. All security personnel serve to ensure the safety and w
 ell-being of everyone. Please show them the respect they deserve. Failure 
 to comply with the directives issued by uniformed security and/ or library
  staff may result in immediate expulsion.</p>\n<p><strong>Costumes and Wea
 pons</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Costumes\, cosplays\, and general attire must
  provide the same level of body coverage expected under Code of Conduct.</
 li>\n<li>Footwear is required at all times.</li>\n<li>Costumes should not 
 impede the movement of yourself or others around you. They must fit throug
 h a standard American doorway.</li>\n<li>Costumes should not have any func
 tional sharp edges or points that could be a risk to yourself or others.</
 li>\n<li>Costumes may not include smoke\, odors\, or fog\, Words\, images\
 , or symbols conveying racist\, sexist\, homophobic\, transphobic\, or oth
 erwise prejudiced or bigoted messages or sentiments. Obscene or offensive 
 language or images\, including uncensored profanities and inappropriate fo
 r all ages content.</li>\n<li>Costumes should not represent or incorporate
  the iconography\, uniform\, or appearance of persons or objects associate
 d with prejudice or bigotry (e.g. Nazi imagery).</li>\n<li>20th and 21st-c
 entury uniforms may not be worn as costumes. These include any uniform tha
 t can be construed as a military uniform from any country or a uniform wor
 n in an official capacity\, such as security guard\, police officer\, depu
 ty\, fire marshal\, paramedic\, etc. Active duty military personnel are pe
 rmitted to wear their government-issued uniforms.</li>\n<li>Costumes and c
 osplays should not incorporate audio or bright lighting elements as they c
 an become disruptive to nearby attendees or events.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><stron
 g>Weapons and Props</strong></p>\n<p>Costumes and cosplays cannot include 
 historical or modern weapons or items that could be confused for them. Thi
 s includes (but is not limited to): self-defense equipment like pepper spr
 ay or tasers\; recreational weapons like Airsoft\, paintball\, water\, cap
 \, or BB guns\; sharp-edged tools like knives or scissors\; or martial-art
 s weaponry including wooden practice weapons.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fantasy or sc
 i-fi/futuristic weapons are allowed so long as they do not resemble actual
  historical or modern weapons and are handled with respect for other atten
 dees' safety and personal space.</li>\n<li>No live steel or weapons that c
 an fire projectiles.</li>\n<li>Weapons and props must not exceed the heigh
 t of a standard American doorway.</li>\n<li>Any weapon or prop that makes 
 noise must be able to be turned off and must not be excessively loud.</li>
 \n<li>Questionable items can be brought to the Information Desk in the Lob
 by during operating hours to be checked for compliance with this policy.</
 li>\n<li>Library Staff or security personnel may inspect any item or costu
 me or request that an attendee remove a mask at any time during the event.
  Failure to comply with these policies and/or the instructions of Library 
 Staff or security personnel may result in immediate removal from the event
 .</li>\n<li>If you have any questions about these policies\, please contac
 t Event staff before the event or visit the Information Desk during operat
 ing hours.</li>\n<li>Items cannot be stored in event spaces. If found\, it
