Charlotte Dune is an author\, blogger\, aw ard-winning filmmaker\, and former U.S. Diplomat based in South Florida.&n bsp\;She is the author of three novels: \;Cactus Friends: A Psychedeli c Love Story\, \;Mushroom Honeymoon\, \;and \;Acid Christmas. She also writes a weekly Substack called \;Charlotte Dune's Lagoon\, w hich delves into current events through a novelist's lens. Her books explo re self-discovery\, psychedelics\, love\, healing from trauma\, addiction\ , and exotic locations. She is passionate about travel\, reading\, nature\ , and entheogenic practices\, and occasionally hosts workshops and events. She also co-hosts a weekly gathering of published authors known as "The W riters' Support Group\," with bestselling author Lainey Cameron.
\nP rior to writing her first novel\, Charlotte Dune worked for the U.S. Depar tment of State Foreign Service in Uganda\, Cameroon\, South Africa\, Canad a\, and Washington D.C. She also directed and produced documentaries\, com mercials\, and music videos. Her documentary films have screened at film f estivals in the U.S.\, Canada\, and Europe\, and her work has been feature d in POV Magazine\, The Temper\, Now Magazine\, Toronto Life Magazine\, an d in The Huffington Post.
\nIn addition to her creative work\, she r uns two popular 5-star &ldquo\;Guest Favorite&rdquo\; Airbnbs\, including a geodesic artisan dome on a 35-acre private forest.
\nDune grew up in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and holds an MFA in Documentary Media Production\, a B.I.S. in Gender Studies and International Relations\, and a Diploma in French and Sub-Saharan African Studies.
\nShe currentl y resides with her partner\, daughter\, and two dogs in Fort Lauderdale\, Florida.
