 ml\;na Pertolas\, this hands-on workshops will walk participants through m
 aking their own art zines. By the end of the workshop\, each participant w
 ill have made a small zine.</p>\n<p>The library will provide supplies such
  as paper\, magazines\, scissors\, glue\, washi tape\, stamps\, a photocop
 ier and more!&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>If you want to include any of your personal p
 hotographs\, art\, or other visuals\, please bring them along.<br /><br />
 </p>\n<p><strong>What is a zine?</strong></p>\n<p>A zine (pronounced &ldqu
 o\;zeen&rdquo\;) is a DIY\, low-budget\, self-made\, small publication tha
 t allows all voices to be heard. In a zine\, anyone can write\, print\, an
 d distribute their story\, ideas\, or art however they want to. Unlike tra
 ditional publishing\, zines are the final product of the individual creato
 r or group and are often &ldquo\;published&rdquo\; with the aid of photoco

 n<p><strong>About the Instructor:</strong></p>\n<p><a href="https://www.ma
 inapertolas.com/">Ma&iuml\;na Pertolas</a> (she/her) is a photographer who
  was born in France and is now based in Squamish\, BC\, on the unceded ter
 ritory of the Sá¸µwxÌ±&uacute\;7mesh people. She has been dedicated t
 o capturing the authenticity of individuals and exploring the diverse land
 scapes of British Columbia for several years.</p>\n<p>Recently\, her work 
 has shifted towards storytelling and mental health through the medium of z
 ines. She is currently developing a follow-up to her first zine\, "Seule"&
 nbsp\;and creating images that connect with her emotions.</p>\n<p></p>\n<h
