  Education</a>.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Practicing yoga is important for kids for m
 any of the same reasons it is important for adults. Yoga helps&nbsp\;to re
 lax\, relieve stress and anxiety\, improve sleep and emotional regulation\
 , increase empathy and&nbsp\;improve mood and affect. Practicing yoga with
  kids also teaches them how to be more mindful\, which happens to be just 
 one of&nbsp\;the many ways in which we can teach mindfulness to kids.</p>\
 n<p>For children in this age group\, stress is something they are only jus
 t learning about and they often don&rsquo\;t&nbsp\;know what it is or how 
 to handle it. It is up to us to provide them with effective and appropriat
 e tools to&nbsp\;help them manage their emotions.</p>\n<p>Other benefits o
 f yoga for this age group (and any age for that matter) includes\, but is 
 not&nbsp\;limited to: Improving memory and cognitive function\, improving 
 sleep\, strength and breathing and&nbsp\;improving self-regulation\, deter
 mination and perseverance.</p>\n<p>By participating in this program\, you
