Ascension Parish Library&rsquo\;s makerspa ce is a place for inventors\, artists\, and hobbyists to bring their ideas to life. Located at the library in Donaldsonville\, we encourage communit y members to check out this new hands-on workspace and collaborate\, creat e\, explore\, and build.
\nTo use equipment in the makerspace\, you must be an Ascension Parish Library cardholder* and take a training class to learn how to safely operate the machines and the procedures for checkin g in\, out\, and cleaning up. After taking the class\, you will schedule a time to pass a task-based activity to earn a completion badge\, which all ows you to use the equipment on your own. \;
\nThe Singer 2263 S ewing Machine makerspace provides several needle and stitch options to per sonalize sewing projects.
