 n</strong></p>\n<p>Do you wish you lived a more sustainable life? Or maybe
  you already work toward sustainable living and you want some inspiration 
 and new ideas! Join Rose Brown as she describes why and how she began the 
 Zero Garbage Challenge in 2009. Rose will describe some of her sustainabil
 ity projects and her zero garbage tips\, including:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transit
 ioning to sustainable products</li>\n<li>Changing purchasing habits</li>\n
 <li>Composting and recycling more effectively</li>\n<li>How to involve the
  whole family&nbsp\;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The presentation will include a quest
 ion &amp\; answer session\, so bring your sustainability challenges for th
 e group to discuss!</p>\n<p><strong>City of Fayetteville Waste Diversion P
 resentation</strong></p>\n<p>Faebyan Whittle will discuss the City of Faye
 tteville's many programs and services which help to divert waste from the 
 landfill\, including its recycling\, food waste diversion\, and composting
  programs.</p>\n<p><strong>Boston Mt. Solid Waste District Presentation</s
 trong></p>\n<p>Justin Taylor will share about the services that BMSWD prov
 ides for Northwest Arkansas\, and will focus primarily on what qualifies a
 s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and what options exist for proper dispos
 al in our area.</p>\n<p><strong>Alternative Avenues for Reusing and Recycl
 ing Materials</strong></p>\n<p>Liz Hill will describe the various alternat
 ive locations and methods of recycling and reusing a variety of materials 
 that are not typically recycled in municipal programs. She will provide in
 formation on where to donate and drop off items\, such as &ldquo\;random p
 lastics\,&rdquo\; packing materials\, electronics\, building materials\, a
 nd more.</p>\n<hr />\n<p><strong>About the Speakers</strong></p>\n<p><stro
 ng>Rose Brown</strong> has been living without garbage since 2009 when she
  founded the Zero Garbage Challenge. She provides information\, workshops 
 and presentations to the community about household waste reduction and oth
 er sustainability topics. She has worked for a number of environmental org
 anizations\, including StreamWatch and The Nature Conservancy\, and she is
  a volunteer Master Naturalist. She currently works as the Executive Direc
 tor at <a href="https://www.onsc.us/">Ozark Natural Science Center</a>.</p
 >\n<p><strong>Faebyan Whittle</strong> is an Environmental Educator for th
 e <a href="https://www.fayetteville-ar.gov/4085/Recycling-and-Trash">City 
 of Fayetteville Recycling and Trash Collection Department</a>. With over t
 wo decades of experience in sustainable materials management\, she has wor
 ked with several private and public entities to find a way to translate wh
 at looks like "trash" into a valuable sustainable material\, providing bot
 h economic and environmental benefits for waste reduction\, recovery\, and
  diversion. She worked in the outdoor industry prior to joining the City t
 eam as the Director of Sustainability for Pack Rat Outdoor Center\, helpin
 g them become the "Greenest Outdoor Shop in America".</p>\n<p><strong>Just
 in Taylor</strong> is an Environmental Educator with the <a href="https://
 www.bostonmountain.org/">Boston Mountain Solid Waste District</a>. He work
 s with schools\, businesses and other organizations throughout Washington 
 and Madison counties to reduce waste through reuse\, recycling\, compostin
 g and smart sourcing.</p>\n<p><strong>Liz Hill</strong> is the Education a
 nd Community Program Manager for <a href="https://www.onsc.us/" target="_b
 lank" rel="noopener">Ozark Natural Science Center</a>. In addition to her 
 passion for outdoor and science education\, she has a special love for Cre
 ative Reuse Art and EcoArt. Liz has also worked in numerous environmental 
 education positions focused on waste reduction\, including with the City o
 f Fayetteville\, Washington County Environmental Affairs Office\, Marin Co
