Susan Sontag wrote of painting vs. photogr aphy\, &ldquo\;The painter constructs\, the photographer discloses." In th is workshop\, we&rsquo\;ll read poems written either about or with photogr aphs and then write some photograph-inspired poems of our own. Ideally\, p articipants will bring their own photos\, but some will be provided.
\nThis poetry workshop is part of the annual Inland Northwest Poetry Salo n.
\nAbout the presenter: Laura Read is the author of several books of poetry\, The Serious World\, forthcoming in October\, But She Is Also J ane\, Dresses from the Old Country\, Instructions for my Mother&rsquo\;s F uneral\, and The Chewbacca on Hollywood Boulevard Reminds Me of You. She t eaches at Spokane Falls Community College and in the MFA program at Easter n Washington University.
