 nfluence of Mill Creek and the Grand River\, fire has been a constant thre
 at to the growing Galt community. This new photo exhibit being staged duri
 ng Cambridge&rsquo\;s Fire Preparedness Week from May 3 to 10\, highlights
  the major fires that forged the Galt core we have today.</p>\n<p>Also joi
 n us on Saturday\, May 3 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm for a downtown Galt event
 :</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Children's activities\, crafts\, and games.</li>\n<li><a 
 href="https://janeswalkwr.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jane's Walk
 </a> guided tour featuring the fires of Galt's history will start from the
  Old Post Office and travel along Main Street to Civic Square.</li>\n<li>A
  display of emergency services equipment at the <a href="https://www.cambr
 idge.ca/en/your-city/fire-hall-museum.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noopener"
 >Fire Hall Museum &amp\; Education Centre</a>&nbsp\;and at Civic Square (5
 0 Dickson Street) where you will learn how the city is prepared to deal wi
 th any new emergencies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This event is presented in partner
