 rtunity to meet new people\, build confidence\, and explore stories togeth

 ong>What to Expect</strong>&nbsp\;</h4>\n<p>We choose a book to read toget
 her at a slow and steady pace\, usually covering 5-7 pages per session. We
  pause to discuss vocabulary\, summarize the story\, and explore key theme
 s. Everyone gets a chance to practice reading aloud\, work on pronunciatio
 n\, and ask questions about words or phrases they find difficult.</p>\n<p>
 Tea and snacks are always provided!</p>\n<h4><strong>Who We Are</strong></
 h4>\n<p>The English Learners Book Club is facilitated by a faculty member 
 from <a href="https://www.capilanou.ca/about-capu/get-to-know-us/our-value
 s/community-development-and-outreach-at-capu/">Capilano University&rsquo\;
 s Community Development and Outreach (CDO) Department</a>\, in collaborati
 on with a staff member from <a href="https://pearlspace.ca/">PearlSpace</a
 >. The Squamish Public Library provides in-kind support to help make this 
 program possible.</p>\n<p>The Community Development &amp\; Outreach (CDO) 
 department at Capilano University is committed to reaching people who may 
 not have access to traditional campus-based programs. By using a learner-c
 entered approach\, we create accessible literacy opportunities for adults 
 living in Squamish\, fostering connection and learning for everyone involv
 ed.</p>\n<p>Come read with us\, share stories\, and grow your English skil
