 rong></p>\n<p>This exhibit features works of art by West High School Inter
 national Baccalaureate (IB) Visual Art students. The IB Diploma Program in
 tegrates students&rsquo\; study during their junior and senior years in a 
 balanced humanities and sciences program of college-level work in six subj
 ect areas\, including Visual Art. Between the end of their sophomore year 
 and the spring of their senior year\, IB Diploma students must participate
  in at least 150 hours of Creativity\, Action\, and Service (CAS) activiti
 es. Art exhibits are included as part of students&rsquo\; &ldquo\;Creative
 &rdquo\; activities. The IB Program at West High is for academically-able 
 students who desire a curriculum that presents subject matter from a world
 wide perspective. Students who are highly motivated and productive will be
 nefit from this course of study. Selection is based on grades\, teacher re
 commendations\, and evidence of motivation. Students who complete the IB P
 rogram earn a high school diploma and the internationally recognized IB Di
 ploma. Students may earn college credit and advanced standing at instituti
 ons of higher learning throughout the world.<br /><strong><br />Artists' B
 io</strong></p>\n<p>The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is 
 an interdisciplinary\, global academic program that is both philosophical 
 and practical. This multicultural experience emphasizes analytical and con
 ceptual skills and aesthetic understanding. The IB curriculum fosters grow
 th\, helping individuals who value an integrated lifestyle which extends b
 eyond the walls and years of the classroom\, as well as beyond the limits 
 of geographical and political borders and cultural differences. The Intern
 ational Baccalaureate Program is offered at 3875 schools in 147 countries.
  The Curriculum and Assessment Center in Cardiff\, Wales\, is responsible 
 for continuously updating the curriculum\, developing examinations\, asses
 sing student work\, training teachers\, and evaluating the program with in
