X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>Have you decided to incorporate more nativ
e plants into your garden? Are you wondering which native plants might be
best suited to your garden and your interests? Would you like to know how
to find out about local native plant sales?</p>\n<p>Janet will build on th
e April 26 talk that focused on the&nbsp\;importance of removing invasives
and planting native plants to protect local&nbsp\;biodiversity.&nbsp\; In
this session\, she will touch on the following topics:&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Wha
t are some native plants that would provide color throughout the growing s
eason?<br />Which might be best suited to the environmental conditions in
my garden and to my interests?<br />What can I plant that is most critical
to sustain&nbsp\;butterflies\, birds and bees and maintain biodiversity?<
br />Where can I buy&nbsp\;native plants? Where can I find more informatio
 n?<br />Janet says\, "all my life I have been a gardener. After I retired
from the World Bank\, I enrolled in a Master Gardener&nbsp\;class where al
l that I had previously read and experimented&nbsp\;with in my own garden
crystallized. I came to realize the&nbsp\;importance of planting native pl
ants to maintain biodiverse local&nbsp\;ecosystems and contribute to globa
l biodiversity and a healthy planet. I am now in the process of&nbsp\;(slo
wly) converting my own garden to incorporate&nbsp\;more native plants\, mo
dernizing other outdated but familiar gardening&nbsp\;practices\, and usin
g the knowledge I gained in the Master Gardener&nbsp\;program\, subsequent
courses and readings\, and my own practical&nbsp\;experience to help othe
rs in the community do the same thing."&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>This event is made
