Dawn Cobb\, Illinois Department of Natural Reso urces\, and John Heider\, professional gravestone conservator\, will teach participants how to care for Illinois cemeteries and their historic grave markers properly. There will be a classroom sess ion in the morning (9-noon) in the Archives. The afternoon session (1-3:30 ) will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery for a hands-on workshop for learnin g cemetery care\, basic gravestone maintenance\, and simple repair. Gain v aluable knowledge for documenting a cemetery\, safe cleaning practices\, p robing\, repairing\, and resetting certain grave markers. \;
\nD ue to space capacity limits\, the morning session in the classroom has a r egistration limit of 20 attendees\, and the afternoon session at the cemet ery has a registration limit of 12 attendees. \;
\nSepar ate registration for both the morning and afternoon sessions is required t o attend both. \;
