 n<p><strong>About the Presenter:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Cynthia Amoah</s
 trong> is the inaugural&nbsp\;<em>BPL Writer-in-Residence.&nbsp\;</em>Cynt
 hia&nbsp\;is a Ghanaian-American poet\, national speaker\, and teaching ar
 tist. She received her MFA from The New School where she was awarded the p
 restigious Paul Violi Poetry Prize and cited for Excellence in Poetry. Cyn
 thia began competing nationally in recitation and motivational speaking en
 gagements in 2006. Since then\, her dynamic voice and strong stage presenc
 e has captured and inspired diverse audiences\, both locally and globally.
 </p>\n<p>Cynthia&rsquo\;s voice reflects the strong and colorful oral trad
 itions of her homeland\, Ghana\, which undoubtedly cultivates and shapes h
 er work. Although influenced by diasporic motifs\, Cynthia transcends limi
 tations and labels\, instead embracing a holistic\, multifaceted identity.
 </p>\n<p>Her work can be found published in <em>OURS Magazine\, Nimrod Jou
 rnal\, Ohio Humanities: Pathways</em>\, and <em>The African Poetry Book Fu
 nd&rsquo\;s New-Generation African Poets Chapbooks</em> by Akashic Books. 
 Cynthia&rsquo\;s chapbook <em>Handrails</em> was published by Akashic in F
 all 2021.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><em>BPL Writer-in-Residence</em> programming is
