X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p>This engaging workshop introduces&nbsp\;pa
rticipants to the art of dry collage\, a technique that will allow partici
pants to cleanly and accurately apply paper to their collage using a hand
iron. Through guided instruction\, participants will explore pattern\, col
or\, and texture while experimenting with various collage materials. The w
orkshop will begin with introductions\, artwork examples\, and a demonstra
tion. Participants are encouraged to bring some of their own imagery\, but
will be provided with a wide range of materials and magazine photos\, as
well as a 7x7 inch piece of cardstock for their background. We will first
prep the materials\, coating them with an acrylic medium. As the chosen it
ems dry\, participants will sketch ideas for their composition. Then\, usi
ng an x-acto knife or scissors\, participants will cut their images into t
he desired format. Taking turns with the provided hand irons\, participant
s will then complete their design\, layering all the pieces together. At t
he end of the workshop\, participants will take their pieces home to furth
er refine and assemble.</p>\n<p>All materials will be supplied though part
icipants may bring some of their own imagery to include.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Ab
