Ascension Parish Library&rsquo\;s makerspa ces are a place for inventors\, artists\, and hobbyists to bring their ide as to life. Located at the library in Donaldsonville\, we encourage commun ity members to check out this new hands-on workspace and collaborate\, cre ate\, explore\, and build.
\nTo use equipment in the makerspace\, yo u must be an Ascension Parish Library cardholder* and take a training clas s to learn how to safely operate the machines and the procedures for check ing in\, out\, and cleaning up. After taking the class\, you will schedule a time to pass a task-based activity to earn a completion badge\, which a llows you to use the equipment on your own. \;
\nThe Cricut Make r 3 is capable of cutting\, scoring\, and drawing or writing on various ma terials. It can be used with the Cricut Heat Press to create customized it ems.
