In this generative workshop we will write poetry that explores the ordinary miracles of day-to-day life. We will exa mine the ways we move through our daily worlds\, write to those we are gri eving and celebrate the mundane magic of living. \;
\nNoelia Cer na is a Latina poet based in Springdale\, AR. She was born in Costa Rica a nd immigrated to the United States at the age of 7 where she received a Ba chelor&rsquo\;s degree in English from Westminster College in Missouri. He r poems have been published in audio form in \;Terse. \;Journal&nb sp\;and in print in \;The Revolution [Relaunch]\, the Girl Gang blog\, the \;Plants and Poetry Journal \;and \;The North Meridian Re view. Noelia is a book editor for the \;North Meridian Review \;an d an award-winning writing mentor for Pen America&rsquo\;s Prison Writing Mentorship program.
\nThis program is presented as part of Latino Po etry: Places We Call Home\, a major public humanities initiative taking pl ace across the nation in 2024 and 2025\, directed by Library of America an d funded with generous support from the National Endowment for the Humanit ies.
