DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Poetry Month by entering our third annual t
 een poetry contest! Youth in grades 7-12 can submit an original poem for a
  chance to win a gift card and have their poem printed in a booklet anthol

 ries:<br />Grades 7-8\, 9-10\, and 11-12.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>1st place in each
  category will receive a $50 gift card.</p>\n<p>The top 15 finalists will 
 also have their poem printed in a booklet anthology that will be distribut
 ed to the finalists and displayed at the library.</p>\n<p>Pick up an entry
  form at Claremont Library. You can submit the completed entry form and yo
 ur poem by dropping it off or mailing it to Claremont Helen Renwick Librar
 y. You can also email your entry form and poem to&nbsp\;<a href="mailto:pe
 spinosa@library.lacounty.gov.">pespinosa@library.lacounty.gov&nbsp\;</a></
 p>\n<p><strong>The deadline for submission is April 30\, 2025.&nbsp\;</str
 ong></p>\n<p>Contest Rules:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>All poets must be in grades 7-1
 2</li>\n<li>All submissions must be original works written by the&nbsp\;po
 et submitting the entry</li>\n<li>Only one (1) entry per poet</li>\n<li>En
 tries&nbsp\;must not exceed 25 lines or more than one page in length</li>\
 n<li>Poems should be typed or printed in neat handwriting.</li>\n<li>All c
 ontestants will be notified by May 17</li>\n<li>Winners must pick up their
  prize at the library by June 7\, 2025</li>\n</ul>\n<hr />\n<p>This progra
