Brand Library &\; Art Center is proud t o present \;Opulent Mobility: Re-Imagine Disability and Mobility\, curated by founder A. Laura Brody and Anthony Tusler in collaboratio n with students from Glendale Unified School District (GUSD). Founded in 2 015\, Opulent Mobility has been hosting annual open calls for artworks whi ch tell stories that humanize\, uplift\, and celebrate disabled artists an d disability art. The events have built a community of artists and activis ts who place disability issues at the forefront of their endeavors. \; Opulent Mobility \;will feature artworks by Amabelle Aguiluz\ , Anahid Boghosian\, A. Laura Brody\, Vanessa Herná\;ndez Cruz\, Dia na Elizabeth Jordan\, Patricia Fortlage\, Kellie Gillespie\, Francesca Hum mler\, Aragna Ker\, Monica Marks\, Larissa Nickel\, Rebecca Niederlander\, Tom and Linda Peters\, Jaklin Romine\, Katherine Sherwood\, and Rachel Un gerer as well as Glendale Unified School District (GUSD) student artists r epresenting Anderson W. Clark High School\, Crescenta Valley High School\, Daily High School and Glendale High School.
\nOpulent Mobility< /em> was created in partnership with art students at Glendale Unified Scho ol District (GUSD) who are presenting works addressing the Opulent Mobilit y \;theme. This format allows the GUSD students to exhibit alongside p rofessional working artists in the gallery. It is a unique chance for the students to share their work professionally\, begin to build a portfolio f or college applications\, and learn from established artists. \;
