 aoka under the name &ldquo\;Las Vegas Taiko&rdquo\; (LVT)\, George served 
 as the drum maker and Doug was the director. After practicing on tires and
  building their own drums\, LVT became Las Vegas Kaminari Taiko (LVKT) bec
 ause of the impressive thunderous sounds the drums made.</p>\n<p>The group
 \, which is part of the Las Vegas chapter of the Japanese American Citizen
 s League\, has spent over 20 years performing all over Southern Nevada at 
 schools\, conventions\, casinos\, and community festivals. Under the direc
 tion and instruction of Jennifer Caballero\, LVKT music balances the tradi
 tional roots of taiko with modern sounds and influences. Members consists 
 of students and performers of all ages.</p>\n<p>Special guests include stu
 dents from Kristi Toguchi's Aerial Fitness.</p>\n<p>Please note that the d
 rums will be loud. For those with sensitive hearing\, please bring your ow
 n earplugs or noise-canceling headphones.</p>\n<p>Free and open to the pub
 lic. Seating is on a first-come\, first-served basis and may be limited.</
