 " /></p>\n<p>Did you know that The People's Archive has a file on local vi
 sual artists and art spaces? Contributing to the Artist Files is a way to 
 preserve your history and help future researchers learn about our region's
  art scene.</p>\n<p>We hold drop-in hours each season and invite a variety
  of local arts groups to partner with us.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>This June\, our p
 artner is <a href="https://wpadc.org/">Washington Project for the Arts</a>
 \, currently celebrating its 50th&nbsp\;Anniversary and working toward a l
 aunch of a new digital archive later this year. This event marks the kicko
 ff of a special collaboration between WPA and The People's Archive Local A
 rtist Files which is accepting physical copies of material and helping to 
 connect artists with WPA's digital archive initiative. At the event\, you'
 ll have a chance to meet with a representative from WPA\, learn more about
  their digital archive\, and also create your own physical artist file to 
 be housed at the library. We invite artists who have been part of WPA exhi
 bits and programs past and present to join us.<br /><br />In honor of Prid
 e Month\, we will also have&nbsp\;a spotlight on LGBTQ artists\, and will 
 be sharing some examples of related items from WPA and in our collections.
 <br />All are welcome. Come check out the history in our archives and help
  us provide a more complete picture of the local art scene!We accept mater
 ials during the event and are available to&nbsp\;answer your questions.&nb
