Mah-jongg is a \;tile-based game devel oped in the 19th century in China and has spread worldwide since the early 20th century. Four players commonly play it with 144 tiles based on Chine se characters and symbols. The game and its regional variants are widely p layed throughout \;East \;and Southeast Asia and have become popul ar in \;Western countries. We will be learning and playing the Hong Ko ng version of Mah-Jongg.
\nIn the first hour\, we will become famili ar with the tiles\, rules\, and how to set up the game. In the second hour \, we usually get through 2-3 hands\, allowing participants to practice wh at we have been taught. \;
