Tony Keith Jr. is a Black American gay poet\, spo ken word artist\, and hip-hop educational leader from Washington\, DC. He is author of the YA memoir in verse How the Boogeyman Became a Poet. Tony& rsquo\;s writings have appeared in the International Journal of Critical M edia Literacy\, the Journal of Black Masculinity\, and many others. A mult iyear Fellow of the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities with a PhD in education from George Mason University\, Tony is CEO of Ed Emcee Academy and lives with his husband\, Harry Christian III\, in his DC hometown. \nCandice Iloh\, moderator\, is the award-winning author of young adult novels\, Every Body Looking\, Break This House\, and Salt the Water. A 2020 National Book Awa rd Finalist and 2021 Printz Honoree\, Iloh is a first-generation Nigerian- American writer whose books center home. In 2018\, they were awarded a Cri tical Breaks residency with Hi-ARTS to develop and perform a one-night-onl y stage production of ADA: On Stage\, a multi-media one-person-show\, intr oducing the audience to in-progress themes of their now critically-acclaim ed debut novel.
