\nAbout the Author
\nEmily Strand is the Director of Campus Ministry and Liturgical Music at Ohio Dominican University in C olumbus\, Ohio. She is an author\, podcaster\, speaker\, award-winning sin ger-songwriter and musician. She holds an MA in theology from the Universi ty of Dayton and has taught religion at the college level for more than 20 years. Emily has published two books on Catholic sacraments and several p eer-reviewed chapters and essays on the religious\, symbolic and spiritual themes in popular fiction such as \;Harry Potter \;and \;Star Wars. With Dr. Kathryn N. McDaniel of Marietta College\, Emily co-hosts&n bsp\;Potterversity\, a Potter Studies Podcast\, a show in the MuggleNet fa mily of podcasts. With McDaniel and with Amy H. Sturgis\, Emily is co-edit or of three scholarly books for academic presses on \;Star Wars\, \;Star Trek \;and \;Harry Potter.
