At the Repair Café\;\, one of our ha ndy volunteers will help you fix your broken item. The main goal of the Re pair Café\; is to facilitate community collaboration and to kindle p eople's enthusiasm for a sustainable society. Learn a new skill\, save mon ey\, and help the environment. Don't replace it\, repair it! \;

The Repair Caf é\; runs from 10am-1pm. Register for one of the two available \;registration windows: \;

A volunteer fixer will help you fix your item sometime during the registration window. While you wait\, watch other repairs and learn someth ing new\, chat with community members who are interested in fixing and sus tainability\, watch a demo\, or browse our book table and find your next r ead. \;

Fixers are volunteers. Repairs are not guaranteed\, but Fixers do their best.
\n
If you know your repair requires parts \, please bring those parts. Fixers have all the basic tools.
\n
Wh at can be fixed? This depends on the skill set of our volunteers. Our curr ent volunteer Fixers are great with electrical (lamps\, wiring\, etc.)&nbs p\;We do not fix electronics (cell phones\, laptops\, etc.). Tell us a bit about your item when you register\, we will follow up with you if we need more information or to suggest any parts you might need to bring.
\n< li>This is a learning opportunity for all involved. \;This is not a dr op-off event. We encourage visitors to sit with the Fixer\, learn about wh at they're doing\, and lend a hand. It's about figuring it out\, together. \n

Maximum 1-item for repair. If you bri ng other items you will only be able to have them fixed if there is availa ble time after other registrants have been served. \;

The wo rk carried out in the Repair Café\; is performed free of charge on a voluntary basis by the repair experts at hand.
\n
Visitors carry o ut the repairs themselves whenever possible\, but repair experts on site c an help if necessary.
\n
The fact that the repairs are being perfor med by unpaid volunteers reflects the allocation of risks and limitation o f liability: neither the organizers of the Repair Café\; nor the rep air experts are liable for any loss that may result from advice or instruc tions concerning repairs\, for the loss of items handed over for repair\, for indirect or consequential loss or for any other kind of loss resulting from work performed in the Repair Café\;. The limitations set forth in these house rules shall not apply to claims declared justified on the basis of liability arising by virtue of applicable consumer protection leg islation which cannot be lawfully superseded.

We may not have al l the tools\, supplies and resources to repair your item.

New pa rts or materials required for a repair shall be provided by the visitor.\n
Visitors offering broken items for repair do so at their own risk . \; \;

Experts making repairs offer no guarantee for th e repairs carried out with their help and are not liable if objects that a re repaired in the Repair Café\; turn out not to work properly at ho me. \; \;

Repair experts are entitled to refuse to repai r certain objects.

Repair experts are not obliged to reassemble disassembled appliances that cannot be repaired.

Visitors to Rep air Café\; are solely responsible for the tidy removal of broken obj ects that could not be repaired.
