 his Life Lab\, Andrew Thompson will review the best practices and lessons 
 he has learned from starting as a beginner researcher to discovering over 
 50 enslaved relatives.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Mr. Thompson is an avid genealogist 
 with extensive experience in the historical South Carolina Lowcountry. And
 rew&rsquo\;s experiences include research for many clients and genealogist
 s from beginning through advanced levels. Andrew is currently in the proce
 ss of creating the &ldquo\;A History We Share Project&rdquo\;\, where he a
 nd other genealogists perform descendancy research for enslaved individual
 s listed throughout the various archives they encounter. Andrew also curre
 ntly serves on the board of directors for the Amelia Island Genealogical S
 ociety.</p>\n<p><strong>This program is made possible by a grant from the 
 Mellon Foundation.</strong></p>\n<p>Registration is required for this even
 t\, and must be completed two hours prior to the start time. A library car
