Like many bluegrass bands Greenland Statio n grew out of a jam session. High school friends Pam Baldridge on bass and vocals and Matt Tomlinson on lead guitar and vocals along with Pam&rsquo\ ;s husband Gary on rhythm guitar and vocals got together a few times and d ecided we should make it a regular thing. After the typical growing pains of all new bands there were personal ups and downs. On a whim Matt called an old friend and picking buddy Sam Coffey to see if he would be intereste d in joining the group on banjo. Busy as he was he jumped at the chance. O n Sam&rsquo\;s suggestion we sat down with one of his old (young) mandolin students\, Isaac McCutcheon. It was a great suggestion and Isaac was a pe rfect fit not only on mandolin but a great voice.
